Getting Started
How to Use the Exchange
Six steps from finding your office to your first completed trade.
01Find your office
Head to the House or Senate directory and browse by state, or use the State / Building / Floor filters to find your office quickly โ handy if you just want to see who's nearby.
02Claim it
Open your office's profile page and fill out the claim form: your name, an email (personal or congressional โ either works), your title, and whether you're permanent or temporary staff. You'll also set a password here.
An exchange admin reviews every claim before it's approved โ this usually doesn't take long. Only the person who successfully claims an office can manage it, so make sure it's really you.
03Sign in
Once your claim is approved, sign in with the email and password you set. You'll stay signed in as your office until you log out.
04Stock your inventory
Go to My Inventory and add whatever snacks your office actually has on hand, with quantities. Don't see something you have listed in the catalog? Propose a new item from the same page โ an admin approves new items before they show up exchange-wide.
05Initiate a trade
On the Trades page, click New Trade. Pick the office you want to trade with, choose what you're offering from your own stock, and choose what you'd like from theirs. Add an optional message, then send the request.
06Accept or decline trade requests
Incoming trade requests from other offices show up on your Trades page too. Review what's being offered and requested, then Accept or Decline. Accepted trades update both offices' inventories automatically.
